Used Car Sales Manager

We are looking to recruit a dynamic Used Car Sales Manager for a highly respected dealer group based in Colne. Applications are encouraged from candidates who have experience in Automotive Sales Management. If you have managed a Sales Team within a prestige volume dealership this would be an advantage, but is not essential provided you have the drive, determination, and hunger to succeed in a high-volume environment.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have up to date knowledge and relevant experience gained within the motor industry as well as the ability to deliver exceptional customer service, whilst negotiating profitable transactions. Understanding of legal, tax and fiscal implications of finance and insurance products are essential.

General Expectations of the Used Car Sales Manager

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the Used Car Sales Department, including purchasing vehicles & stock management.
  • Drive the sales performance of the Used Car Sales Team to deliver the required volume levels on a monthly basis.
  • Mentor, develop and motivate the Used Car Sales Team, retaining talent within the business.
  • To have a detailed and analytical approach with regards to their stock.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Driving sales and maximising profitability, including through the sale of F&I products.
  • Developing and motivating the team through measured 1-2-1 review meetings.
  • To assist in the closing of vehicle sales, where required.
  •      To provide an exceptional level of customer satisfaction in all areas of the business at all times.
  • To secure finance business using providers approved by the Group.
  • To ensure all legal requirements of FCA and GDPR regulations are met.
  • Daily review of online presence and amending adverts and pricing in line with market movements.
  • Departmental forecasting.
  • Liaison with other departments to ensure that all stock vehicles meet preparation turnaround KPIs.
  • Leading morning sales meetings.
  • Ensuring that all POS is displayed in line with the Company requirements.
  • Creating high-quality marketing and promotion strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate customer needs and competitor activity.
  • Meeting customers on handover to thank them for their business.
  • Achievement of monthly budgets and associated KPIs.
  • Monthly performance and development reviews with sales team.
  • Regular communication and interaction with members of other departments to develop the business and the business team ethos.

  • High standard of admin and paperwork skills.
