Bodyshop Manager

Purely Automotive Recruitment Ltd are seeking an experienced, energetic and enthusiastic Bodyshop Manager to join our client based in Warrington, Cheshire. Our client is a successful family-owned dealer group operating a number of prestige retail franchised vehicle operations across the Northwest of England.

Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and enthusiastic Bodyshop Manager to organise, control and direct all Bodyshop and Wheel Centre activities. The position will require you to ensure high quality standards are maintained, and to provide exceptional levels of customer service. You will also be an achiever of budgeted sales and set profit targets.

Main Duties:

  • Develop and implement a Bodyshop and Wheel Centre Marketing Plan and devise an advertising and promotional budget in liaison with the Group Marketing Department and the Head of Business.
  • Conduct Bodyshop and Wheel Centre campaigns and promotions in accordance with centre requirements.
  • Ensure that a Repair Order System, Reservation System, Daily Operating Controls, Time Analysis and a Customer file are introduced and maintained.
  • Maintain and continuously evaluate management statistics, plans and budgets and provide information to group senior management and to the manufacturer as required.
  • Establish and maintain the organisation and staffing levels for the department, including recruitment and selection subject to approval and authorisation by the Head of Business and in line with existing employment legislation.
  • Ensure that a programme of internal and external training is devised and implemented for each staff member.
  • Monitor operation of warranty and goodwill system and ensure that the manufacturer’s procedures are followed.
  • Attend manufacturer’s conferences and seminars as required.
  • Deal with and resolve all Bodyshop and Wheel Centre customer complaints in line with the company complaints procedure.
  • Plan and implement new business development activities and initiatives in order to increase sales revenue and profitability.
  • Further develop the Smart Repair operation to offer a comprehensive range of services to retail customers and internal departments in order to maximise revenue and profit opportunities from this channel and to eliminate use of external contractors.
  • To organise maintenance and Service schedules to keep the wheel plant in a fully working order
  • To be an ambassador of the new company name (Fuse Powder Clinic) and promote it as a brand within our market area.
  • To carry out sporadic quality checks during repair stages and at the end of repair as necessary
  • To comply with Retail Standards requirements and all operational procedures are adhered to.
  • To assist the Group Bodyshop Manager to plan and implement new business development activities and initiatives in order to increase sales revenue and profitability.
  • To keep the work providers and Manufacturer’s standards portals updated to achieve compliance at all times
  • To carry out all reasonable tasks and duties as directed by management.
